Thinking about changing my reception hall - please tell me places that have a minimum of 100 or less!

I really want an elegant mansion-like place (or museum or something like that), but I only will have about 100 people so I don't want to pay for more than that. Anyone know places that have this minimum on a Saturday? (It could be afternoon or evening) And, if you don't mind, can you please tell me what you were quoted per head and what month it was for?

Thank you in advance!

I don't know where you live, but there is a place called The Harrison House in Glen Cove, i beleive, that does smaller weddings and is supposedly beautiful. Maybe try a search with Harrison House.

Does the museum accommodate 100 people? Do you have any idea how much per head?

How about the Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale? I don't know what the minimum is though. I am getting married at the Bourne Mansion in Oakdale, but it is 125 minimum. Don't know if you're willing to go that many extra. Good Luck!

Re: Thinking about changing my reception hall - please tell me places that have a minimum of 100 or less!

I wanted to have mine there - but two things kept me from doing that 1) my fathers cousin got remarried a few years ago and had his wedding there - and sowe felt strange having it at the same place and 2) my parents were paying and they wanted at their country club - and since it was nice we didn't feel like objecting

I have no idea what the restrictions are or the cost - but he was married in one of the galleries and then a cocktail reception in the gardens and galleries - don't remember much more. There is a caterer there but not sure who.

You can try the Three Village Inn...its not a mansion but it has a different feel than other catering houses...its more of a bed and breakfast...their minimum is 100 for the large room and 65 for the smaller room.

Good luck

The Harrison House is gorgeous! Have you tried Oheka Castle, DeSyversky Mansion?

Re: Thinking about changing my reception hall - please tell me places that have a minimum of 100 or less!

I think Oheka would do a small party...they probably would charge you a lot per head though. I also went to Harrison House and they only wanted a minimum of 145. I have heard good things about Nassau County Art Museum.

Re: Thinking about changing my reception hall - please tell me places that have a minimum of 100 or less!

Try the Harrison House in Glen Cove, for a day wedding. If you're interested, make sure to book with Carmella, she's great. -DO NOT SEE BILL KENNEDY (HE IS A NIGHTMARE TO WORK WITH ONCE YOUR CONTRACT IS SIGNED)!

We were given a low minimum (well below 100), and a lower than published pp/price, but that was only because we booked 7 months prior to the date, and we were willing to have it whatever Sat. afternoon they wanted. We did get the full dinner menu though, plus a night in the suite. If you want to know the exact $, please FM me:)

Also, are you willing to go into the city? If you are, and your budget is not too tight, there are many, many locations for you. If this might be for you, please tell me and I can give you a list of great places-we just decided the island was easier for our families.

good luck!

We are having our reception at Stonebridge Country Club in Hauppauge. It is a Saturday night and the minimum is only 100 people. There is only one wedding held there also. Definitely worth checking out!!
