Question for the Winter Brides...

Did anybody try to talk you out of getting married in the winter for fear of the weather?

I have had my wedding booked for February since last year and I still have people telling me I should change it because we might get bad weather.

I just tell them nope, its a chance I am willing to take. I know I'll be there that day come rain or shine or blizzard.

Re: Question for the Winter Brides...

Yep, every day. The people that really love you will make it rain or shine, snow or sleet. Fi and I will be there, though, and that's all that matters.

Re: Question for the Winter Brides...

Boop~Look up 'Weather Predictor' in google. I emailed some freaky guy in New Zealand who promised me that it would not snow on my wedding day, but it would be as cold as anything. That, I can deal with.

Re: Question for the Winter Brides...

I'm getting married in January and I too am a bit nervous about the weather. My FH owns a landscaping business and we really had to get married in the winter because he is too busy in the summer. Even if there is a snow storm it will still be the greatest day of your life, right? Don't sweat it too much. I' m trying not to.

Re: Question for the Winter Brides...

I have people telling me that I shouldn't have booked in November...I think no matter when you have it or plan it...some one is bound to complain. Don't worry. If people have major concerns you may want to think of alt. transportations for older guests but as we all saw this past winter everyone still made their way around. It will be fine. February was my alternate choice if I couldn't book in November.

Re: Question for the Winter Brides...

I totally got rude comments of people who were actually whining and asking me to change the time of year!! I got married January 4 and the sun came out right in time for my ceremony and we were able to get sunset pics on the beach! People who say that are just obnoxious! Believe me, even if bad weather strikes, one thing I've learned is that the people who care for you the most will BE THERE no matter what!

Re: Question for the Winter Brides...

I don't know if this makes you feel better but my grandparents anniversary was March 31st. On their wedding day there was a blizzard. Completely unexpected! But I have to tell you her pictures looked so beautiful with the snow falling around them.

Don't worry about it, like people said those who love you will make it. Besides you may have pictures with really cool 'special effects' that you don't have to pay for!!!
