Bridal Gown Designers - Any Suggestions?
I am having a hard time finding a dress that I'm 'in love' with (thankfully I have some time).I don't want sleeves, tulle, lace, lots of beading, asymetric or a ballgown skirt. I'd like something 'flowy' (crepe, silk organza, layered silk), modified a-line or sheath (but not so form fitted that you can see the outlines of my kneecaps!), strapless or low back.
I tried on a few Jim Hjelm's that I 'really like'. My (max) budget is $2000...though I would go over a little if it was 'it'.
Could any of you ladies suggest some designers for me to check out? ...thank you.

check out maggies website. She does have a lot of the poofy asymmetrical, but if you bear with the entire collection, there are a few flowy ones.maggie

Re: Bridal Gown Designers - Any Suggestions?
I am getting my dress at Valentina's bridal in Brooklyn and its a custom made by the owner. Its silk organza, a line, off the shoulder dress. Its not very poofy and it came in under what my budget was for a dress.I also like Private Label by G dresses. I tried on a few and they were nice. All A line and off the shoulder. Nothing too poofy and no beads.

Re: Bridal Gown Designers - Any Suggestions?
I've looked at Maggie Sottero's and while they're pretty, they're not what I'm looking for. But thank you so much for the suggestion.I did find a few Paloma Blanca dresses on line that I really like. Has anyone heard of Palazzo? I've found quite a few (online) that I really like but it seems they're only available at VeKa in Manhattan?
Anyone else have more suggestions? ...thanks.

Amy Michelson and Priscilla of Boston, and Amsale. Good luck! Also, my dress is very much like what you are talking about, and there is a slightly modified version out there for about $2200. I'll send a pick if you want. It's an Amy Michelson. I got my dress @ Kleinfeld.

Julybride...I *love* Amy Michelson dresses...I'm putting Kleinfeld off as my 'last resort' (even though they have a ton of designers that I love - I'm just not sure I want to trek into B'klyn for fittings

Re: Bridal Gown Designers - Any Suggestions?
Hmm....Brooklyn's not so bad
I totally understand not wanting to make it here for fittings though. There's another designer out there, Lourdes Courrie. Also in the city though. Hmm...sorry I'm a city girl, don't know much about long island places. Except, Priscilla of Boston has some gorgeous dresses, and they are on the island. Welcome New Vendors
