Without further ado.......MY HAWAII HONEYMOON REVIEW
Sorry this took so long. I have been sooooo lazy. This is the first part of the review, I don't have all the pics yet, but here are some that you may have already seen. The rest will come tonight, including the Kauai pics. I'm going straight home just to post the pics
MAUI
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency. This was a tropical paradise. Wait till you see the pics. I think you've seen some already. Here is the view from our room on the 6th floor. This was partial ocean view To the Left:
To the right:
Even the lobby was a tropical paradise. Here are pics in the lobby:
The front of the Hyatt:
The back pool area:
My handsome Husband walking around the hotel:
OKAY, next. I would highly recommend the Hyatt restaurant Spats. Len and I went there for our first dinner as husband and wife. The ambiance was nice, but remember this is not outdoors, and there are NO VIEWS. It's just very nice for an intimate dinner, and the food is GREAT. Remember tho', it's expensive (although not anything NYers aren't probably used to)
Here we are our first dinner night at Spats:
We also visited the Westin Maui hotel, and it was beautiful also, keep in mind tho' they also do timeshare, and the Westin seems to be more family oriented, so there are A LOT of Children.
Something I would highly recommend. We took a sunset cruise, not sure which company, I could find out, but it's the one the Hyatt booked for us. We took the Champagne cocktail cruise, they also have the Dinner cruise. I think I prefered the cocktail one b/c it holds less people and I think was more intimate. The dinner boat holds a lot more people. W/the Cocktail one, we were able to just relax, sit anywhere, and it was so cute, all the couples in their own little world. Here's a couple pics on the boat:
The other things we did were Hiking down teh Volcano. This was awesome, you will not experience anything like this
BUT keep in mind,
you MUST know how to ride a bike, and you MUST be FEARLESS !!!!!!!!
I can ride a bike no problemo, but I am far from fearless. I freaked out bigtime. You are 10,000 feet up, and it is terrifying. So after riding 2 miles frozen with fear, I gave up and went in the van. I swear, I almost had a heart attack, looking down at the Cliffs and I just thought my death was way too near.
Len finished the entire ride, and so did all the men. BUt quite a few ladies gave up.
Me and another woman actually rejoined the bike ride about 3/4 of the way down. Much more tame, and that I did enjoy. It was like a nice country ride.
I have a pics, but I still have to put them on Shutterfly, but the pics are nice. Before you ride down the volcano, you watch the sunn rise from the top of the mountain, and it is breathtaking. Watching as the sky turns all different colors is amazing. Then you finally see the sun peeking through the clouds above you. Note: You are so hight up, there are also many clouds BELOW you too. What a sight
This was a great experience, but remember if you are a scaredy cat, actually riding the bike down is always OPTIONAL. You can ride in the van at any point you decide you want to stop.
OKAY, this has to be cont'd. There's so much more to say, but my coworkers are trickling in now.
I'll post more later.
Liz

Thanks Ladies, I can't wait to post tonight because I have soooo much more pics on the laptop.you are all inspriring me not to be lazy
BTW, I forgot to mention, the customer service at teh Hyatt was EXCELLENT. They took care of the tours for us and anything we asked for, we got soooooo soooo quick. And also the Partial Ocean room was an UPGRADE that we got WITHOUT having to ask. They upgraded us and gave us a bottle of Champagne. Def. a plus

Re: Without further ado.......MY HAWAII HONEYMOON REVIEW
I was thinking about doing that biking down the mountain, but after hearing your review we are definitly doing it. I love to ride my bike, not sure how I will be with the fearlessness, I am a bit of a wimp, but if I can take the van down, if I get to scared, that is great. Can't wait to hear about Kauaii, since I am going to both Maui and Kauaii in October.
