Winter month weddings and bubbles???

What is everyone getting married in the cold winter months doing when they exit the church? Are you still using bubbles? I am afraid if it is cold no one is going to sit there and blow bubbles....

just curious what others are planning....

Re: Winter month weddings and bubbles???

I am not a winter bride..but my FSIl got married this past march and we froze our butts off by the time all the guest exited the church, then wee took pics..The church was paacked, but after people were leaving...Definetly consider whether people will want to stick around.

Re: Winter month weddings and bubbles???

that might be better, becasue then people can wear gloves and they won't get ruined with the soap.

Also, tried to think about being quick and not having guests wait outside too long.

It's dissolving rice in the shape of hearts. You can get it at Michael's.

Re: Winter month weddings and bubbles???

You can throw about anything...you just want to limit that amount of time outside, and use something that they can keep their gloves on.

Re: Winter month weddings and bubbles???

I got married on February 15, 2003 - the coldest day of the year (at least it felt that way) and the day before we got that huge snowstorm that gave us over a foot of snow. I got bubbles for the church and although some people stayed to blow some bubbles, I think it was a waste of money to buy them because we had a ton of them left over and people where just trying to keep warm. I couldn't even get the bridal party to go outside with us, so just me and my husband stood outside for a few minutes and then we went back inside the church to take pictures inside with the bridal party.

Re: Winter month weddings and bubbles???

We are getting married in January, and I think we are going to stick with the bubbles. I am just not buying a ton, maybe 3 or 4 dozen.
