I need some advice from newlyweds -- any tips for keeping my dress clean during pictures before the ceremony?
I'm taking pictures in a park before the ceremony & I don't want to be filthy by the time I get to the ceremony. Do any of you have tips for keeping your hem/shoes clean? Thanks! Sorry for the intrusion onto your side of the boards!

No real tips on keeping it clean but definitely bring along shout wipes and possibly some baby powder just in case you happen to get some stains. My little ring-bearer stepped on my dress before I even got in the limo to go to the church!

You will be so elated that day that you will barely notice the little stains that come along with dragging your dress around. The only tip i have is when walking around, just lift your dress up entirely (dont let it drag).
I walked all over the streets of Manhattan doing this and my dress was not nearly as dirty as i expected underneath (and not dirty at all on top).

I agree with Stef - hold the whole thing up. I didnt notice any real stains until I got to the hotel to change.I also took pics at a park before hand.

I used two different pairs of wedding shoes because I was afraid of the dirt as well.

Hold it high, have an attendant, it will get dirty it will only be the bottom, so don't sweat it. All will be well.

You know what was funny, even with the drizzle, even my shoes didnt get dirty in Westbury Gardens.I was happy about that, I did try and walk holding up my dress, but that's it. No change of shoes, and no dirt either.
Good Luck

From my experience, keep the ring bearer away from the train. Mine stepped on my train and got two muddy footprints on my dress. Needless to say I pulled up to the dry cleaners in the Rolls Royce 15 minutes before my ceremony. It mostly came out and nobody noticed. Also, your photographer should have some sort of a sheet for you to sit on/put under your dress for some shots. I also held my dress up completely when walking around.Welcome New Vendors
