Sex of the baby... What are the wives tales...

and what do you ladies think from your own experiences about what the sex of the baby is before you find out? I just had my 12 week appt today... well, I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow. I was talking to one of the nurses and we were comparing tales of how people predict about who's having a boy or a girl. What are some truths???

Melissa, there are no truths for 'predicting' the baby's gender - except for the moment the baby is born, and you can see for yourself!

Even the sonogram machines are wrong a certain percentage of time.

I dont have an old wives tale, per se but I did have something odd happen while I was PG. A guy I worked with had a Magic 8 ball on his desk and one day I asked it specifically if I was having a boy and it said 'It is decidely so' (or one of those other goofy 'yes' replies) then I asked it if I was having a girl, figuring if it said yes also, it was BS. (LOL not that I had faith in it anyway) but this M8 ball tells me No to the girl question. I went into this guy's office about 5 more days in a row and every single time I asked just those 2 questions, it always said yes for boy no for girl. I kid you not. It got weird. LOL the word spread in my department and other people started coming in and asking this ball questions about their lives too.

And I did have a boy so if you have access to a magic 8 ball.....
