correction-- just my mother... my dad has been good through all this planning stuf..


durring the day i didnt answer the phone and 2 dj companies called about my inquiry for a mc(aready am getting a dj for free)...
so fiance drops me home and mom goes ' you got two messages'... 'yes i know ill call them back tomorow'..
'you know you dont need an mc, your sister jane had a dj who did everything, cant your dj do everything?'.. then she proceeds to tell me 'an mc might be 'worthless' sometimes people dont want to go on the dance floor and it would be a complete waste of money'....

AAAHEM... I want an MC primarily for my introductions,first dance. cake cutting, bouqet toss...
what does she have to complain about.. its not like im asking her for any extra money, shes not paying for the whole reception..

UGHHHHH... fiance REALLY liked the mc at the last wedding we were at.. our friend is doing the dj'ing for free and we thought since were already saving money why dont we hire an MC and make it a little less work for our friend...

Poop on moms. Mine won't even talk about planning for my wedding yet. She says it's too early to think about. W T F? So here's a big ol for you! Do what you want, she'll pipe down after a while

she had her wedding...32 years ago, now its my wedding and it will be my way

my mom adds her 2 cents on EVERYTHING just like that. i find it very difficult to deal with at times, but i know she just 'means well' - right!?

i think my my mom feels guilty or something.. she didnt help my sister with ANY planning whatsoever for her wedding cause my grandmother was sick at that time(and probably will be for my wedding too.. but thats another story)... anyways I think she's trying to overcompensate for not doing anything then..

well his mother spoke to his aunt.. asked her what was up... and she goes ' im allowed to invite whoever i want, its not like its christmas'... now this is VERY frustrating cause the other aunt's annoying family use to not get invited and mikes family was always invited.. so his mother talked with his father, and father doesnt care to invite the aunt & uncle over at all the way she is acting, but his mom use to talk to her every day so she doesnt want to leave things this way...
mike has 'grown appart' from that aunt and uncle and said that we dont have to have her as an eucharistic minister for our wedding(one less corsage, 5 x 7 pic, and frame ) to give out...

soooo long story short,
mike and I save ourselves like $50...
but feel bad, his parents did nothing wrong and they had o sit home on july 4th..meanwhile the evil family gets invited over WHO (the aunt who is jealous of my FI, the cousin who has a beer drinking problem, the other cousin who has 'issues' and whom mike is dead to, and the other cousin who is on ridalin)... needless to say.. those 3 are not being allowed guests(saving me an extra $300..

Well, there ya go. We have some issues in our family too, but we are all so close that it just bounces back and forth where as some people ignore eachother. Oh well, can't change people

well... i told mike that is fine cause his birthday isnt a big holiday... so we dont have to invite them over for that... we can have it with just the other side of the family.. however he feels bad about his grandparents on this side... so im thinking we can have them over for dinner on another night... without the rest of that family... it will saveALOT of money cause the evil family of 5 eats like they are 20... which is very $$$

well im using 2 vases... i though his mother would have a heart attack.... on her side they only display stuff.... you'd never dare think of putting flowers in lenox and i have a lenox oval dish... from day one it became a candy dish always filled with candy..
