Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

Did anyone fly coach to Hawaii? Is it really uncomfortable for 10 hours?

We got a straight flight but it would be free to fly coach and $6,000 to fly business class...all the upgrade seats are taken.

Re: Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

We flew coach and never could have afforded to go business class or first class. The total flying time on the way to Hawaii was about 12 hours. Because it was total day light it was hard to fall asleep and I was uncomfortabe for most of the trip. On the way back it was a little over 10 hours and we got an exit row so we were more comfortable. We left at night and slept most of the trip. It wasn't that bad.

Re: Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

Keep trying with the upgrades, people make reservations to hold it all the time and never actually book it, try every few days!

Re: Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

i've never flown to hawaii (yet) but i flew coach to china last year (12 hours). it's not that great, but it's not intolerable either. just remember to get up at least once an hour to get the blood flowing through your legs.

Re: Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

We flew first class to California and the rest in coach. It was a big difference.

Re: Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

What is an upgrade seat? And how can you ask to have this? Is it more $$?

Re: Hawaii Question for Honeymoon

We flew first class. If you can manage it, definitely do it. It's a LONG flight.
