have many of you sent letters bridesmaids to be in the bridal party?

i thought this would be a great idea to ask the bridesmaids and groomsmen to be in the bridal party. does anyone have any suggestions in what to write to my fiances siblings. im not that close with them but i want it to be a touching letter to let them know that i want them to be part of our special day.

we are asking our bridal party with "will you be my -----" at our e-party. We are putting the cards at their seats so that they find them when they get there.

I have also seen cards that say "will you be m bridesmaid. One of the venders on here sells them.

i sent out those "will you be my.." cards. they were really cute!

I used the BM's cards from frills and yummies (vendor here), and they were great! Someone here also just made her own, I think she got them at Michaels.
I think it's a great idea. Try a search here for poems if you need help with them.

I made "will you be my____" cards for my girls. Inside them I wrote:

It's hard to believe
that in just a little while
___ and I will be
walking down the aisle

Nothing would give me
more joy and pride
than to have you right there
by my side!

I found it more personal to ask each one in person. I did each one different:

To my MOH, my FMIL made a beautiful photo album and I wrote a letter and put it in the first page.

For my FSIL I framed a photo of us and the frame said "There is a sisterness between us" or something like that

To some I gave this book and wrote inside of it:

I just wrote them all something about my friendship with them, all different and handed the card to them. My maid of honor I made a little more special though I bought her flowers and asked her face to face. She cried so I guess it was good!

A friend of mine invited us to her house cooked us all dinner and read to us how each of our friendships with her was different and how she felt about us.

Only to my cousin in England...b/c she is in England. Everyone else I took out to dinner or for drinks & me & FH asked them together.

these are great! I am trying to make them from MICHAELS but so far I Went there last wednesday night and last night and they are out of the dresses to make to put on the cards! I'm getting aggravated! I Wanted this done already! thanks for the great poems everyone!

MY SON'S FIANCE WROTE BEATIFUL POEMS TO EACH BRIDESMAID, WHICH SHE READ AT THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY. SHE THEN FRAMED THEM, GAVE IT TO THEM, WITH SOME FLOWERS. IT WAS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND EVERYONE THOUGHT VERY UNIQUE.

I used a poem similar to the one Theresa posted. I sent the girls flowers to where they work with cards telling them I had a question to ask them and to read their e-mail, then call me. I sent the poem by e-mail. What girl doesn't like to get pretty flowers at work?

girls- i am loving all these poems, keep them coming so i can use a different one for each girl. you girls are so creative!!! i could never write poems like these.
