Getting Married This Sat.: Worried about Weather

I'm getting married this saturday and the forecast says rain. Everyone tells me
not to worry about it, but how can i not. I have an outdoor cocktail hour and I
really want the picture of the rose petals being thrown;(

I don't think you need to worry. It looks like only a chance of rain and they always say that when it's humid out. Don't stress too much over something you can't control.

Don't worry about the weather. It's only Tuesday and they can't even get the weather forcast right for the next day or so half the time. By the time Saturday rolls around, they will probably push the rain to Sunday or Monday.

Don't theres nothing you can do about it anyway. Mine said rain till the day before & I had a beautiful perfect sunny day

They will probably change the weather 3 or 4 times before Saturday comes.

I think you'll be okay. New 12 said a chance of rain later in the afternoon and they get the weather right HALF the time!!

We week before my wedding, they predicted rain for my big day. It ended up pouring in Suffolk...but not in Nassau. (I was married in Nassau). It was the hottest day ever, and in the end I think it would've been better if it rained to cool everything down. Don't worry about it...your day will be beautiful regardless!!!

I'm getting married on Saturday too!! Don't worry about it. It seems like the predictions are always wrong anyway, so why stress! Good luck!

im worried, too!!

all i keep hearing is 'scattered thunderstorms' -- really, i didnt pay all this money for a great photographer to take pictures indoors!!
ugh ... i know we shouldn't worry, but how can we help it!?

My parents had the worst terrential rain to the point where the priest stopped the ceremony because he couldn't be heard over the thunder. They had a picture outside the church - looking like it was 9pm but it was like 3pm! - with a huge umbrella and it is their most cherished picture! So don't worry! It will make for a great story later in life if it does and if the weather rocks - then hey that's not bad either!

it poured at my sistes wedding...and we really didn't notice it too much...only getting to and from the limos...

someone mentioned on this site that you can collect the rain water from your wedding day in a jar...I thought that was a cool idea...

as for the petals...you can do it down the aisle or in the lobby?
