He just keeps getting bigger....

He is now estimated at 5lbs 12oz.

The Dr. now thinks he will be around 10lbs

They said they want me to consider a c-section but I still want to try vag inally! Last week he was 5lbs 1oz and I even lost 2lbs this week. I can't believe how big he is! In the sono pic It's hard to see but he has both hands holding up his cheeks

IM surprised that they are already suggested a C-section? just because of his size?

Yes, I didn't like that either. But my Dr. was like if you decide to go that way you can. I'm going to Lamaze and I'm not learning how to breath and relax for nothing

Thats really silly

and not fair to you.
Are you really tiny-framed? I've heard of several moms that were teeny-tiny and pushed out 10pounders. Its up to you (I had a c-section-im not saying theres anything bad or wrong with it) but I wonder why Dr's jump to suggest them.
Unless it's for the safety and well being of the mom or baby, I cant see why you should decide that already.

I had a c section because of the size of Thomas. They were afraid of a dislocated shoulder and said it would be best for baby. The only thing I do suggest is that you wait for 40 weeks. I had mine at 37wks and I do not think Thomas was ready to come out yet.

IMO you should not opt for a c-section unless it is medically necessary. It is surgery...not a walk in the park.

I don't want one

I want to hold my baby and breastfeed right away. I never envisioned the birth of my baby in an operating room. So I am definitely trying natural before anything else

He looks great Stacey. What a big boy!

I guess your doctor just wants to prepare you for the possibility. My SIL didn;t have a C-section with my nephew and she should have. The doctor was crazy not to give her one. I will spare you the details of her labor story but it was not good. I mean the baby was fine and all, but she went through with a V- birth was medically unnecessarily. If if you trust your doctor and that he's not just trying to push a c-section on you (which he's probably not trying to do), I think you will be fine.

Please remind me the name you have picked out for your boy...

He looks perfect! My older son was 10lbs even at birth and I had him naturally with no drugs! You can do it!

I also have this horror story to torture him into submission with about how I suffered................oh how I suffered................It even works sometimes!
