Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
I'm thinking about going to AC for my bachlorette party because its pretty local and I've never been there. But my friends and I are not big gamblers. Is it still a good place to go? Any good bar recommendations? We'd really like to go for a nice dinner then out to a few bars.

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
Atlantic City is okay. Its a little "seedy." If you're going to gamble, then you can choose a nice, upscale casino and have a great time. But, to just go and hangout and do what you're looking for, I would not recommend it. My FH has family in Absecon, NJ which is close to there and we've gone there a bunch of times and its just not that great.

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
I have to agree. It is seedy. Also there are really no "nice" places for dinner. FH just got back from his friend's Batchelor party, and the only "nice" place for dinner they found was PLANET HOLLYWOOD!

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
I hate AC...sorry...but I've been there a few times and have been to bachelorette parties there too.
The last time I went back in February...we went to dinner in the Showboat, forgot the name of the Italian restaurant there...food was awesome though...and then we went to the Casbah (I think that's the name of it)...it's the club in the Taj Mahal. We were able to walk through the Showboat to get to the club...that's good so we didn't have to walk outside.

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
I'm sorry but other than gambling...there's not too much left to do in AC. If your not into gambling...I would consider something else.

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
Thanks for your input. We'll have to think of something else. Any other suggestions? I'm afraid the Hamptons or Fire Island would be kind of dead in late Sept.

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
Just came back from one. Went to The Borgata and their club was alot of fun.
We were in there from 11:30pm-4am and had a great time. The crowd was good, and a nice mix. We left at 4am (normally closes at 5am) and hit the slots for an hour. It's new, so the place is very clean. No kids allowed, so you have a different sort of crowd.
I'm not that familiar with AC, but would definately recommend this place.

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
I've heard the Borgata is amazing. If you don't mind me asking, was it really pricey?

Re: Atlantic city bachlorette parties...question
Don't mind you asking at all. We didn't stay there overnight. But I was looking into getting a room for our anniversary. Prices of rooms vary.
Unless you can get one on comp (don't know how that works) you're looking at $175/night Sunday night through Thursday night. Friday and Saturday are only reserved together, not one or the other, and it's $475/night. Now that's crazy to me.
The club entrance is usually $20 each. The drinks are reasonable, I think. I bought one round for 5 women for $31. The tables and slots are the usual. Parking is either free, or in the garage, $3. Not bad. You could even go there and take a cab to and stay at another hotel.
Hope that helps.
