Different person/salon for hair & makeup for bridesmaids than you?

I am thinking of going with a particular salon for hair & makeup for myself, but I already know that they are $$$, especially for an early morning Sunday. While I am paying for myself & my MOH's hair & makeup (along with a bm gift) I can't afford to pay for hair & makeup for my whole bridal party, so if they want to get their hair & makeup done they will have to pay for it themselves. Is that bad? I will be giving everyone a BM gift.

So, I'm thinking of trying to help them find a good but cheaper salon/person. Did anyone have a certain hair & makeup person for themselves and a different person/salon for their bridesmaids? I don't want them to have to pay an arm & a leg to get their hair & makeup done if they want to. Thanks!

hey stanger!! I asked my girls if they wanted me to pay for their hair and Makeup OR me get them a nice gift..I cant do all of it..they said a gift so that they would always have it ..we all have the same makeup lady, but she is significantly cheaper for teh bridal party than for teh bride..and as far as hair, we are using probably two separate girls only because we'; be going to heir salon, and my mom and sis will get done while Im getting mine done. We should finish up at the same time. My oldest sister feels she can do her hair her self..makeup too..Im not gonna fight her because she does do a nice job.

I have been in a bunch of bridal parties and never has the bride paid for our hair or makeup even when the bride picked the salon to get our hair done at (but she did get a good deal!).

I gave all my BM's the option of getting their hair done where I did or on their own. Same with makeup. I didn't not say anyone had to get their hair or makeup professionally done either...just asked them to wear a hairdo approriate for a wedding. All of them did get their hair professionally done (half with me and half on their own) and half got their makeup professionally done and some did their own makeup. It worked out nicely for me.

Thanks!!! I am not making them get it done, but 2 my girls (besides my MOH) want to get it done & I don't want to make them spend a ton of money. I'm paying for my MOH in addition to a gift because she's been my best friend since we've been 13 and heck, she deserves it!!!
