Gloves with this gown

My gown has cap sleeves. I'm not too crazy about them and I'm thinking of making them into spaghetti straps or even making the gown strapless. Does anyone think gloves with the gown would look silly?

Re: Gloves with this gown

I love the sleeves on this dress and it was the first thing I noticed when you posted it on the dress thread. They are so dainty and soft looking.

Re: Gloves with this gown

I love the dress! Mine had a similar bodice and sleeve and the gloves were the one think I regretted - I had a longer glove and wasn't crazy about how they looked in the pictures - not bad, but not as good as I'd hoped. I'd say skip the gloves.

Re: Gloves with this gown

I think the cap sleeves compliment the dress very nicely! Here is a picture to give you an idea of what it would look like with spaghetti straps. (I'm a Photoshop fanatic! )

ETA: Because the bodice is so detailed, I would personally wear it without gloves and let the gown speak for itself.

Re: Gloves with this gown

I know this wont help - but from seeing the two ways - i like the cap sleeves better - I think if it is spaghetti straps though - then gloves would go

I also like the cap sleeves better, but I must say I am very impressed with the 're-done' picture...so creative!!

Re: Gloves with this gown

I say keep the cap sleeves or go strapless, but no gloves. I agree the bodice is much too detailed. Gloves would take away from it.

I personally like the cap sleeves on the dress -but if your set on the strapless or spaghetti straps, then gloves will go nicely.

Re: Gloves with this gown

The capped sleeves add such a romantic edge to the gown - they're beautiful. I'm not a fan of gloves but even if I were, I'd say forego them - the gown is too beautiful on its own!

Re: Gloves with this gown

I think that gloves would take away from the beautiful bodice, regardless of what type of sleeve you have.

Re: Gloves with this gown

OK - if you go with the spagetti straps, the gloves will go nicely. But I have to admit, I like the cap sleeves also, very feminine (with no gloves).

I think gloves might take away from the beauty of the dress. And I love the sleeves they are so soft and feminine, but think straps would look nice too! JMO.
