Some people are so weird!-not sure if I should be aggravated or just laugh....
My grandma told me today one of my aunts (actually great aunt=old person) called my Grandmother and another aunt, with an attitude, wanting to know what the point of my STD was! Both my Grandma and aunt had to EXPLAIN the point of it to her!
And she still couldnt understand!!!! I'm so baffled by her response- ANyone else get something similar???

Eh, laugh it off. She's old, what does she know? Maybe back in her day the town crier announced the upcoming wedding

Definitely not worth getting aggravated over...she's old...she has no idea what STD's are...like someone said, this is a relatively new concept!Shake it off!

Could she have not understood that a formal invitation was also coming? I can understand when you put so much love and energy into these lovely details and then hear such foolish remarks, it's troubling. As everyone said, try to brush it off as her ignorance.

I would try to let it go... you know how these old people are
My parents are pretty old (mid 70's) and they told me that I shouldn't get married on a Friday because nobody gets married on Fridays... they told me I was nuts for even thinking of getting married on a Friday... can you believe it?? So of course now it's going to be on a Saturday because I don't want the old folks to be upset.

I wouldn't be aggravated. Older individuals can get confused over things they are not used to. Younger people can too - I had the same response from my co-worker. 'I think your STD is nice, but I don't see the point. I didn't do it.'- You can't please everyone.
