Meeting with Church...pls. read!!!
I have a quick question, how long in advance before the wedding do you meet with the church to discuss readings, etc. and set up a date for the rehearsal? Is 4 months prior to the wedding too soon?

Every church has a different schedule of what should be done when. You should just call up your church and ask.

we just met with our priest on saturday and the wedding is 10/25. i would not meet with them now - there is still a chance your priest could be transferred or switched, etc and you do not want to go through all of it again.ETA: we have had 4 priests in our 17 month engagement.

I was able to set up rehursal 2 months ago and I am getting married in April.Probably depends on the church, ask them if you can reserve a time now for the rehursal.
Same with the readings, ask them when is the best time to go in and talk with priest about what reading to use.

I did some initial discussions with our reverend when I first scheduled the wedding. We started actually working on vows and readings 6 weeks prior to the wedding.Welcome New Vendors
