Is my ring bearer too old??

My nephew who's 10 years old is going to be my ring bearer. Actually, he'll have just turned 11 by my wedding. Is that too old for a ring bearer? Should I have asked him to be a junior usher instead?

i think it depends on your thoughts, because it's YOUR wedding. i chose not to, because he's 10, and want to make him a trainbearer instead (I just posted a ? about this!) but it's not a big deal if he's 10. It's YOUR wedding! you decide! good luck!

Oh, I have you beat! My ringbearer will be 12!

But I don't care. That's what I want him to be and I figure we'll actually let him carry thing rings, since he'll be old enough that we can trust him with that

In my humble opinion, he's not too old to be a ringbearer unless he's shaving already. As long as you & he are happy, go for it. Either way, as a ringbearer or jr. usher, it's an honor for him to be in your party & an honor for you to have him.

my brother is going to be 10 when i get married and i asked him to be an usher - he's almost as tall as my mom now - my OPINION is that ring bearers should be small cute little boys with big ass smiles that everyone finds adorable - my 10 yr old brother fits as an usher - but thats just MY OPINION!

Do whatever makes you happy. I'm breaking 'tradition' by having both parents walk me down the aisle and by having my brother as my Man of Honor, b/c - that's what will make me happy!

I don't think so. It's your wedding so do whatever makes you happy! :) I was having the same doubts. I was worried that my 10 year old brother would be too old also. But I know I can trust him with the rings and he'll walk down the aisle with no problem. One of my bridesmaids was the maid of honor in a wedding where the really young ring bearer threw a tantrum and started hitting his mom with the pillow...in the middle of the processional!
