After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?
I was just on the 07 boards and one of the girls who just got married chopped her hair into a bobDoes anyone else plan on doing this?
My hair has always been pretty long, and i dont look good with short hair or bangs, so i honestly dont think i will ever cut it, its a part of me and ive gotten used to having my hair long, and all the maintence that goes with it....

yup, my hair is longer than it's ever been because I want to use my own hair for my wedding updo. I plan on chopping it all off and donating it after the wedding

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?
hmmm i wouldn't cut just bc im married...ive had short hair lots of times so to me its not a big deal...i let my hair grow long and then i chop it off, and then do it all over again...My hair was kinda short not that long ago either, it was like at the middle of my neck, not a bob though

No!FH has asked me nicely never to cut my hair shorter than my shoulders. My hair is at the middle of my back right now. I love my hair!! (and apparently so does FH)

Same here! I thought that I've always wanted long hair, but now I've realized I really don't. I was just kidding myself.

yes I hate it! I really look better with shorter hair and I naturally have a fro so it's hard to take care of

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?
I used to have my hair cut to my chin, I loved it, but it was actually more work than my long hair can be. FH likes my hair long and doesnt want me to cut it. I like it long too, I can do more with it... not that i do, but I can!!! so I don't think I will cut it, at least not for a while.

Actually this week ive been thinking of either cutting my hair, i want a cut to the middle of my neck and that straight one length look, dont know if that makes sense, either that or dye my hair darker, thinking of a red color...not sure though

I am not allowed! One thing I had to promise was to never (unless my hair got thin or grey) chop my hair short (above chin length) when I am married to fh.He had to promise to chop his hair off when he either got bald or if his hair was so ratty and grey it was scary.

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?
Well I plan to not cut my hair, except for trims until the wedding. And then cut it then to whatever length i need for the style. But after the wedding I plan to cut it to my shoulders.

Re: After wedding does anyone plan on doing the Newlywed Chop?
Not sure...guess it will depend on my mood. I ususally let my hair grow and then cut it up to my shoulder and then let it grow again and so on. So I am use to it. But I wouldn't do the bob again.....i did that once about 5 years ago and don't think I will ever go that short again. It was nice, but not for me!

i will never get that really short hair cut...unless of course i was on top model and they made me chop it...that is the only circumstance. haha

yeah you do look like a natural blonde, and yeah stupid roots, mine are so bad right now...gonna get it done today.
Before blonde i had red hair for years, but like the dark red colors, i loved it...but they took out this chemical from red dye and after not even 2 weeks the color fades away so much so its annoying.

I didn't want to say it, but I am not 'allowed' either.
Although I had a bob in college, now I look back at those pictures and tell my MOH, 'Friends don't let friends have bobs.'
