'almost big day exercise thread' check-in for 4/25
how is everyone doing?I'll check-in first!
I exercised for the first time in 2 weeks
(I do cardio with 12 lb weights and a 14' step) While the cardio part was fine, I'm definitely weaker, and expect to be sore by tonight, despite stretching a lot....soreness is better than atrophying to a shapeless lump!
Food wise, nothing special, but my normal diet is rather modest in the carb, fat, and portion size anyway...
Overall, a good day!

well no exercise since I was still in a foul mood and didnt get home til 7... but in terms of eating... well i didn't do great but i did better than i usually do.for dinner last night my mom ordered a pizza and garlic knots - i couldn't resist - plus since the kitchen is out of commission (construction) I had no choice but to have some (that's what i'm telling myself). But I usually have 2 or 3 slices and like 3 or 4 knots -- yes, i like to eat... but instead I had 1 slice and 2 knots! very proud of myself! And I was able to resist the mega m&ms that are in the pantry!!
so far today, I'm working on my water and had a luna bar for breakfast.

I feel your pain.... Our apartment is over a gourmet coal-fired pizza place.... the only place I know of on LI with authentic napoli-style pizza....At least you minimized the damage by cutting down on portion sizes....

I had food and mouth disease yesterday, but I was not eatting junk food just a lot of food. I did workout last night because I have been on such a great roll I do not want to mess it up. Plus, I did not feel so bad becasue I did workout.

When I was on my great losing streak last year I found out that working out basically erased many diet transgressions..... the cheating just slowed weight loss....conversely, when I was behaving on my diet, but not exercising, I lost NOTHING.

I walked home from the LIRR lastnight since FH had to work late & the bus NEVER comes. That's a 2.8 mile walk which took me about 50 minutes to do. I ate a light dinner & so far today I had a banana & will have one of my Smart One meals for lunch & sliced cucumbers for a snack later this afternoon ! I'm being good considering the kid in my office just brought back a fried chicken sandwich with french fries which smells AMAZING !!!

my workout will begin after work, so looking to do 40 mintues on the treadmill, some situps, i need to lose my gut so badly, and some other excerises for my butt.....and i have ww meeting toni8ght.

So far I ran for 15 minutes on my treadmill before work. As far as food.. I am still on my 1200 cal diet so that's going pretty good.For breakfast I had 1/4 cup egg beater, 1/2 cup applesauce, 1 cup Special K with Alomond milk (only 40cal!)
For Lunch I had 2 cups of spring lettuce with 1/2 roasted pepper, 2tblspn of salsa on top, 1 Yoplait Light yogurt, 1/2 cup applesauce and 1 lowfat mozzarella cheesestick
I am also going for another run this evening after work (5K)

I have 31 days left so I have to get myself in shape. I got up this morning and went on the treadmill before work. I have to start forcing myself out of bed every morning to work out.

i've been doing amazing (lost 30 pounds since january) then last week FH came to florida to see me and I fell off the wagon. gained just about 5 pounds since then and i'm trying to make up for it now. im in the middle of moving so hopefully that'll keep me occupied and not think about how i just got rid of all of my food in the house haha. as far as exercise goes, i'm not starting that until i move and join xsport fitness. if anyone wants a gym buddy let me know.

Hellooooo girls!Back to the gym last night. It was the first night in almost 2 mo.
35 min on the eliptical, some upper body weight training and 200 cruches.
Eating??? Im an eater so not much dieting over here.
The norm so far today: granola bar for breakfast
and reduced fat cheezit, peppermill turkey on a rol (not a deli roll though, the ones that are like hambuger rolls- less bread
w/ mayo and lettuce and a diet snapple.Back to the gym tonight
Im actually meeting with a personal trainer Thursday night for an assesment.
Hey! Any of you girls go to LA Fitness in Farmingdale?

I ran 3 miles yesterday and got up early this morning to do my Ab Jam workout this morning...my quads are KILLING me from the run...3 weeks and counting!!

i have a gym membership to LA fitness here in florida which i can transfer. my account is good until june so i mean i could go there, but i live in westbury so i think it'll be too far for me

Walked 2 miles last night. My job had a 'Bring your sneakers to work & walk Day' So I did a mile at lunch. Drinking my H20 now w/ my Fiber One Bar for my late afternoon snack.Hey I'm thinking about ordering Hip Hop Abs. Anyone have any experience with it? They promise 3 inches off your waist the first week if you do it for 6 days consecutively or your money back.

i went running for about 40 minutes yesterday. and i only had to walk about 5-7 minutes (i'm not a runner, i have bad problems with my legs, so it's really really really hard for me to run, but i'm trying!)i ate dinner at 11pm though because i didn't have time to eat before my orchestra concert. even though i only had a little turkey sandwich on a whole wheat english muffin, just with mustard and lettuce, it's still bad to eat so late! but i couldn't go to bed as hungry as i was!!!
i'll probably skip working out today though - it'll be the first day i skip since monday, the 16! i think i deserve a day off. . .

ya know, I've been in that situation, and realized that if I don't eat something like what you had, I'll end up eating a ton of chocolate!
much better to have the turkey sandwich!
