APRIL BRIDES!!!

Okay Ladies! This is exciting!! For all of us that are getting married in April, are you ready??? I am NOT:o)!!!! I feel like I need another few months, you know? But I will be soon! My goal is to have almost everything done by April 1st so that I can relax and just worry about the little stuff they may go wrong and need to be fixed... Everyone that I say that to says that it will never happen! How many April brides are done with everything??? Where are you in your planning!! It's right around the corner for us!!! I know we're busy...I just want to wish all brides, but in particular March and April brides for right now, the VERY best of luck!!! Ayanna

Hi! Your post made me smile and I just had to respond! I am an April bride ... 55 days to go (almost 54 days!) ... and here it is 11:46pm and I`m trying to finish addressing my invitations because they must go out tomorrow ... so I can have everything done by April 1st and then RELAX! I don`t think I`ll make my deadline, but I hope you do! Good Luck!

I`m an April Bride too!!! I`m making good progress, but still have some things to do. I`m frustrated right now because my recovery from surgery is going slower than I had expected and I was hoping to be hot-gluing flowers to the seating cards this past weekend, and sewing on the bridesmaid`s sashes this week. I`m hoping I make a quantum leap in feeling better - some days are like that...not today - that`s why I`m up at 6:00 am unable to sleep! We mailed our invites in mid-march since we had a lot of out-of-towners and we`re getting back the responses. All that`s left to do are the little things like favors and gift bags, programs and such. I still feel like I`m on track - ask me again in 3 weeks! My dress is in and the fittings are scheduled to start on the 21st if I`m feeling up to it. That`s the only big thing left on the list! ... there is so much to handle at the very end, you will be very busy the last few weeks and probably won`t be "done" with stuff by a deadline date. We are getting married in 12 days and still are busy....and we didn`t procrastinate, it just can`t be handled till the end. It`s all good though, you can get some quiet time in between anyway and no matter what, don`t let it get you crazy. I am in great great space with where I am at right now, enjoying each day leading up to the 17th. Good luck to all!!!!!

We have started getting our responses back and no one is saying NO---ugh--- where is that 20% we are supposed to lose--- Other than that things are okay--sort of--we have decided to change limo companies (The ALLadin mess) so we are back to square one with that-- we are hiring a 2nd photographer to go to my FI house in the morning(another long story) but other than that we are all set--picked up the last flowergirl dresses this weekend(there are 5 of them) and the tuxes are all taken care of-- so now we just wait we are doing the menu and cake this weekend and that is really it---we just have to go for our license and find rehearsal dinner invites--Cant believe how fast it is all coming--FINALLY Laura www.laurajeremy.homestead.com/home.html

Well, I have all my vendors, all the dresses are in and the invitations are out. I am picking out the menu on Friday. I have started getting letters from my vendors requesting "final" meetings. The invitation responses havent started coming in yet (the invites only went out last week). I have lots of "little" stuff to do - decorate baskets, complete programs, put ribbon on bubbles, and just basically, keep making sure Im not forgetting anything! : )

Thanks Elizabeth--that is what my cousin said--we just got 2 NO's of people we thought would be yes ---how horrible this sounds--but I really dont want 270 people at our wedding---220 or so would be ideal!!! Are you getting crazy yet? Laura

Feeling better each day, although the recovery is slower than I expected. I'm hoping Wednesday will be a turning point.

We invited 210 people and are having about 160 so the 20% rule of thumb more or less applied in our case. I`m thrilled with the number because I truly didn`t want more than 175. The only thing that is bothering me at this point is dealing with vendors - I`m just getting tired of it. Other than that, I can`t believe we will be married in 12 days.
