Re: Atlantis in the Bahamas

We stayed at the Royal towers. I would get the dining plan, it wasnt that much for the week we were there, and it was better for us to pay for it in advance than to worry about how much to bring for food.

Re: Atlantis in the Bahamas

We went there for our honeymoon and again last week for our anniversary. For HM we sayed in Royal Towers with gourmet meal plan. This time we stayed in the Coral Towers without a meal plan. I would say if you could afford it to go with the meal plan. Meals are very expensive there and altough we saved some $ this time it was nice to be able to go out to fancy dinners every night last time we were there.

Yes, it is crowded and there are a lot of kids but we had a great time. Def try to do the dolphin encounter!!! It is an amazing experience. Also, this time we did the Robinson Crusoe snorkeling trip which was great.....you take a boat to a private island and can hang out on the beach and snorkel all day. They serve lunch but it is not that good. Also, we went on ther waverunners that they have at the beach (not run by Atlantis) and that is fun but $$ -- you can haggle them down though. FM me if you have and ??'s!!!! Just be prepard for it to be expensive to eat and crowded and you'll have a great time. Also, we liked the pool by the Coral Towers best because it is much less crowded and there are not as many kids.

Re: Atlantis in the Bahamas

My Moms best friend is a travel agent so we booked the trip through her. I would always stay in the Coral Towers again. Just request that your room is not in the 'reef wing' We were there at 1st and hared it!!! Our balcony felt like it was in one of the pools and there were a lot of people there so no privacy and also it smelled a little bit. They changed us to another waterview room in the actual tower with no problem.

We booked the Dolphin Encounter when we got there but I have heard during busy season it books up fast so I'm not sure when you'll be there. It is a little $$ but soooooo worth it!!! They are amazing animals. And the boat leaves from the Paradise Island Terminal that is only a short (1-2 minutes) walk from the Coral Tower.

Also, the new Atlantis Marina village is nice. At night they have entertainment in front of Bimini Road (one of the resteruants) which was nice. One night it was just a band and another it was a band and about 10 caribbean dancers. They have waitresses who come around outside to offer you drinks and you can charge it to your room with your room card.

We just got home last week and I miss it there already!!! I literally sat on the balcony almost in tears when we were getting ready to leave.

Re: Atlantis in the Bahamas

I have been going there for the past 6 years; every summer. I stay in both the royal towers and the coral towers. It is the best!!! Sooo much fun and the people are very nice.

Yes the meals are expensive and I would also recommend the meal plan however you don't REALLY need it. They just built a new town right in front of the atlantis that you MUST check out. They have tons of great stores and an awesome italian restaurant that you have to try.

Oh and don't forget to try the Water Slide (The steep one!! )
