Bridal Party Reject...

I have a large bridal party which is not an issue, but one of the girls in my party I was kinda guilted into asking and now she has taken a turn for crazy (NUTS!) and we have not spoken in months. At the end of the month the girls are ordering the dresses, and I need to tell her she is not welcome to join us... What do I do, should I play it off that I have to many girls, or just tell her the truth, I really don't want to speak to her. Should I e-mail, letter, sky-wright??? I don't know what to do & my girlfriends suck, they are of no help!!!! PLEASE HELP!

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

I would call her up and tell her straight out that I don't feel we're close enough anymore for you to be in my bridal party.

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

Since you haven't spoken in months, maybe she assumes she won't be in the bridal party anymore? Knowing me...I'm very non-confrontational so I would just write an email telling her you had to cut some people out because the bridal party was getting too large. Hopefully she won't be too insulted. Good luck

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

I would email her and explain to her the situation. She probably already know that she won't be in the bridal party since the two of you aren't close, anymore.

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

I feel the same way about one of the girls in my bridal party...but I dont have the heart to tell her. However in your situation I would just tell her the truth. Email her- you dont speak that often anyway- and you dont want to talk to her anymore- so I would say that an email is fine

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

This is actually funny that this is being brought up b/c I am supposed to be in a bridal party of a 'friend' who I haven't spoken to in months or seen in nearly a year. ..I really want to pull out of the wedding alltogther because of those facts, and also that she had said some pretty messed up things to me a few months ago like she was surprised at how much weight I had put on...eveyone's telling me to write her an email and FH pretty much cant stand her anyway..by the way it's going to cost me like $2000 by the time her wedding is all said and done anyway..i probably should just cut off ties all together huh??

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

I would tell her the truth. If you say nothing and assume she knows you will just run it to more problems later on.

If shes not that great of a friend does it really matter if you wash your hands of her now? I would rather than have her cause problems on your wedding day, RD, shower etc....

Re: Bridal Party Reject...

I say tell her the truth and even though it might be harder I would call her not email her. Sometimes emails, texts, and IM's are recieved much differently than how they are meant because there is no emotion with them. However a phone call exaplining that you don't want to burden her with the responsiblity of being in the wedding concidering your not as close as you used to be. Might be the easiest and friendliest way of handling it.

Good luck and hope this helps
