Bridal Shower Question?

Hi girls!

I am curious as to what you think. I am an MOH for my best friend and I, along with some of the bridesmaids are throwing the bride the bridal shower. Because we are paying for the shower do we also by the bride a shower gift or should the shower be considered the gift?

Thanks for your help!

Tough call....Can You get her a little something like a picture of the two of u or group of you in a really nice frame with a poem? ....is that dorky???? I personally think if you are picking up the cost that should be your gift to her....

Re: Bridal Shower Question?

that is a tough call. That happened to me a few years ago for my best friend. I had to pay a lot for her shower and I couldn't really afford to get a really big gift. I got her something small off her registery.

Re: Bridal Shower Question?

For my friend, we all paid for the shower & also bought her a gift. I still spent a good amount on her gift... i probably would have spent a little more though if I wasn't paying for the shower.

Re: Bridal Shower Question?

I don't think you should be expected to get a huge gift. But I would get something small.

I agree something small should be all that is expected.

Re: Bridal Shower Question?

just something small like the rest of the girls said. Us brides usually know how much of a financial burden this can be for our dearst friends...we definatly understand! and most of us have been at the other end of it all!

Re: Bridal Shower Question?

My BMs paid for my shower and chipped in and got us a picnic basket and my favorite bottle of wine. It was such a great gift. I think you should all try to chip in and get her a gift.

Re: Bridal Shower Question?

I think the idea that you all pitch in an buy her a nice present is a good idea.

If not, I'd defenitley buy her something small off her registry. Last year when I held my best friends shower, I bought her martini glasses that were like 20 dollars.
