Cake Topper

Can you use anything as a cake topper or does it have to weigh less than a certain amount or be a certain height??

Re: Cake Topper

im not sure.... i guess there can be limits...i mean if the topper weighs too much you dont want it messing up the cake or 'taking it down'.

Worse case, if you totally love one particular topper, you can always place it along side the cake or in front of the cake for pictures. I've seen that done quite often.

Re: Cake Topper

I called the baker to ask and they said 3/4 of a pound was 'safe' but the cake topper ended up on the side of the cake anyway.

We have a lenox topper, too. It seems sort of too heavy. My FI picked it and and laughed at the thought of it on the cake! Now I'm worried we need something else !

Re: Cake Topper

I think their is a weight restriction. My Best friend had to put her Cake topper on the table beside the cake, because it was to heavy. You would have to ask your Bakery Vendor. Even though the cake topper is called a cake topper when you buy it.
