Did ur florist require to see venue b4 signing contract?

Did ur florist require to see venue before you signed contract? I am considering a florist but before she even provides a quote, she wants to talk to my contact at our RH. Seems very strange so I thought I'd ask u ladies.

Oh and what kind of questions did u ask ur venue before u booked a florist? I didn't think about this before but now that this florist is asking, it got me thinking

I didnt talk to my florist about my RH at all. We talked about who I booked but that was it!!!

Ive never heard of a florist wanted to talk to the RH before quoting-BUT if its a newer florist that may be why-also the florist may need to make sure that she has all the proper requirements to do work there-insurance, etc.

My florist didn't ask to speak with the venue before signing the contract. But he has been there before so maybe that's why

Yeah, I think it is actually helpful for the florist to talk to/ see the RH. Mine has been to ours before and he was able to suggest things based on his knowledge of the place.

We used one of the house florists for our RH, so we had no issues with regard to that.

I agree with Peggie, it might be an insurance issue they want to make sure is cleared up.

Also ... are you asking for anything out of the ordinary, like decorating the ceiling or special lighting? If you are, I could understand the florist wanting to confirm with your contact at the RH if they are allowed to do that. They might not want to sign a contract with you that they will do x,y,x and then not be able to fulfill the contract.

My florist (Pedestals) did not ask to see my RH before signing the contract but they had worked there before. It is actually very common for a vendor to ask to see a venue before working with you if they have never worked in it before. It will help them to better understand what your needs will be and what will work best in the space. In my opinion, it's the mark of a true professional.

my florist was very familiar with my RH and my exact room, so he made suggstions accordng to that...
