Disney

I am doing a Disney theme, but I don't want it to be over the top (no cheesiness). Does anyone have any good ideas for small touches I can add to the wedding that would help me to carry out my theme without it being overwhelming? TIA!!!!

Re: Disney

I would do a Disney themed cake topper something along those lines.

Re: Disney

FH & I aren't doing a 'theme' per say. We are doing mostly white pumpkins and sunflowers, but we are also doing touches of batman (FH is OBSESSED). I'm having a batman garter and we are coming into the reception to the theme song from the 1989 batman movie. Our table numbers are actually batman characters (named but numbered as well). FH made them himself. Instead of them looking like a cartoon, he did them so they are in black and white and all you see is the black bc the white is the paper. So we are doing little touches of batman incorporated throughout.

I like the idea of doing a cake topper of Disney. You could even do the characters as table numbers or little mickey heads on your seating cards and menus.

Re: Disney

I found confetti on ebay that are in the shape of hearts, castles, and cinderella's carriage. I also have a cinderella carriage card box (think it's in my album). Also I have a disney guest book.

Re: Disney

we are having a bunch of subtle disney touches! It sounds like a lot, but expect for maybe the place cards, they aren't too in your face, and in some cases not very obvious at all to the untrained disney eye. :)

- 'here comes the bride' sign has a hidden mickey for the dot of the 'i' and the '...' on the other side's '...and they lived happily ever after'
- cinderella tags from etsy that I gave to the florist to identify the bouquets/boutineares
- got a flower girl rhinestone decal in the disney script with a minnie

- doing a dove release at the church, nod to snow white
- place cards are disney fast passes and tables are disney ride names
- place card setup will be hanging with clothespins with a chianti bottle on the table, nod to lady and the tramp
- guestbook cover is '...and they lived happily ever' and the pages are faded blue-tint photos of disney couples to sign on
- lighting will be changing between blue and pink, nod to sleeping beauty
- card holder is a pumpkin carriage, nod to cinderella
- menu will say 'be our guest' (beauty and the beast) and signature drink menu will say 'drink me' (alice in wonderland)
- Lady and the tramp cake topper and cake cutting saong is 'belle notte'

Did you make your 'here comes the bride'/'happily ever after' sign or did you buy it?
