I am making my own STD card and magnets. For the card part I went to Michaels and bought wedding invitation package.

They give you a template so you know the size to set up the document and also so you can see how the text will print.

The package also gives you different ways to word the invites.

It took me a day and a half to get the wording and text right so that it fit correctly on the paper. I would say it was worth it since the invite packages are now on sale at Michaels. I bought a 50 invite package and they were $18 on sale originally $30.

I am happy with the way it looks and the money I saved on doing it myself!

Oh...Michaels had a lot of different designs to choose from too, I was impressed w/the selection.

I got the inspiration for our invites from this, and will be having them recreated custom-made.

I made mine. Wasnt too hard. Purchased kits from Michaels and glued dried flowers on them. There is a pic in my community album of one. Printing the envelopes were a pain but I figured it out. I got lots of complements on my invites. Originally they would have cost me over 2K!

Has anyone seen those print your own invites made with homemade paper with real leaves/ flowers running through it? They are o sale @ Michaels thisweek.
