Re: Do you still send an invitation if....

I would still send them one. Plans change and they still may be able to come. It also shows them how much you want them to be there.

Re: Do you still send an invitation if....

Yes still send an invite. Even if they said they couldn't come. One of my friends (who moved to Ohio) was supposed to be a BM and had to drop out because she got an internship (she is going to school to be a lawyer) I knew she couldn't come but she still got invited.

Re: Do you still send an invitation if....

I didn't realize that 'save the date' cards required any type of response. I though it was simply to have people mark their calendars for scheduling purposes or to even announce an engagement.

I was thinking the same thing when I first replied. But then I thought maybe it was word of mouth whether they could come or not. That has happened to me.

Re: Do you still send an invitation if....

I didn't require a response for my save the date - the person just emailed me to say 'got your save the date, we'd love to come but unfortunately won't be able to make it'.

I was surprised to hear a response too!

Re: Do you still send an invitation if....

We didn't get responses to STD's either. Even if we new people wouldn't come, we sent the m an invite anyway. There were acctually a few people who responded no to the invite, that later found that they could come.

Re: Do you still send an invitation if....

I agree with everyone who says that you should still send an invite. You never know what can change.
