I'd say no. But that is because in my field people pay YOU to go to grad school, not the other way around. But I know a lot of fields aren't like that. $40,000 is a lot though. Do you have a job also? i was always of this mindset as well. currently i'm electing to hold off because i have the hopes of starting a family and being the primary person in charge of child care. the last couple companies i worked for would have not given the option to pay for school, and now being older i can't justify going into debt if i may not be 100% career driven in the future. i will always have to work, but i don't see the huge ROI in my case.
if i didn't want kids and raise a family, i would take on the debt and bust my *** in a heartbeat.
