Feeling down
I am so frustrated with my job hunt. I finished my Masters and am looking for a teaching job for the fall. In the meantime, I wanted to sub and filled out apps in 3 districts THREE WEEKS AGO and no calls yet! I applied to Huntington Learning Center and Oxford and NOTHING I went to school and worked hard and now, I cannot even get a part time or subbing job. I am sick of being home and not working, and I don't know what to do. I feel so down and frustrated

Re: Feeling down
I know what you're going through - the calls for interviews will come soon - it's just a matter of time since most districts aren't interviewing yet - I didn't have my first until the end of April last year - and that was early for some.As for the subbing - do you have any friends who teach who might request you? A lot of times you have to do that to get your foot in the door with subbing since some teachers find subs that they like and stick with them all the time.
You'll be great Daniela! Unfortunatly, mid-year isn't an idea time for trying to find a job in teaching. Good luck!

Re: Feeling down
As much as we bit*h about going to work, it ***** when we don't. I know what that feels like, I just went through it. Goods things will happen. Try to be positive and get your resume out to as many places as you can. You have to make this your job now, or nothing will happen.

My nest friend is a teacher and she is having the toughest time finding a job. Just keep a smile on your face and keep pushing and you will find something!
