for an e-party is there a specific time frame when it should be

We got engaged in September 2002 and the wedding is sept 2004. My parents are thinking of having the e-party in May of this year. So this means we would be engaged for 8 months when the party is happening.

Is that alright to do???

I think that is fine - most of the people I know who had long engagements had an e party a couple of months to a year after the engagment but about a year before the wedding.

Chippa I got engaged on April 20th, 2002, our e-party will be April 26th, 2003, and our wedding will be April 24, 2004
