Help!! Planning a New York wedding from AZ

Hello everyone & Congrats, my FH and I are both originally from NY but currently live in AZ. I am trying to plan our wedding which will be at John Anthony's on the Water on 1/03/03 and I am in need of all of your help. I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions for DJ, Photographers, Videographers, Florists & Limos. I have a couple in mind but will be flying in to meet with them in August but would love your opinion & any good or bad experiences you may have had with them. For a DJ we were looking at ET(Entertainment Tonite), Body Rock & Tommy Tunes. For the Photographer we had Ray O'Conner, Patken & Gray Studios. Videographer - Candlelite & Platnium Video. Towers Flowers & Flowers by Brian for the florist. And no clue for Limos. Any information you may have would be great. Thanks for all your help!!

We planned our wedding from CA - our vendors were:

Patken (Vinny)
Platinum Video (beautiful work)
NJL Limo (best deal and great service)
Flower Michele Florist (wonderful!)
Current Affair (amazing band)

and our reception was at Lands End.

DJ: Invitation to Dance
Limos: New York Style Limousines
Florist: Oakdale Florists

You will get a dozen quotes with in a day or less. Just let them know what you need and the Limo Companies will contact you.

I would suggest Spin around Sound for a dj - he's working out for us so far. I am seeing Sugar Magnolia and Flowers by Michele this weekend. Our photographer is an independent - Jack Roman. www.jackroman.com - but he's only black and white, so bringing along a color photographer for an hour of traditional shots. And we are using Royal brass for ceremony music. All trumpets and organ. Good luck with planning - you came to the right place!

I'm using Towers Flowers...he is a friend of my family and HE got married at John Anthony's...just thought youd be interested in that...:)

If you need a make-up and hair stylist, I have a great contact and she is wonderful. Her name is Bessie and her # is 718-707-1089. She will come to you and her prices are reasonable. Good Luck!

My sister lived in AZ when she was planning her wedding and She used Vendor on LI but she bought her Dress and Invitations in AZ and they were much cheaper. Her dress cost $500 with her veil and the same dress was $1500 in a bridal store here . So that will help save money....
