Help!!! Where to block hotel rooms for Wedding in Woodbury Long Island....

Hey Girls,
Since I am planning in another state, it is so hard for me to find the right hotel to make it convenient for my guests. I know the hotels in long island are expensive so I am looking for somewhere between the airport and woodbury L.I. so they can at least get shuttle to and from the airport and the ride to LI won't be as far. Can you girls help me out, I am stuck!!!! Thanks a lot!!

p.s. I plan to still block rooms in L.I. but if i could find something convenient to JFk and Laquardia but not too far from L.I., maybe i can put this task to rest....

i believe there is a best western in woodbury right down the road from your recpetion site (i think)

There is also the Marriot which is closer to your reception hall, and they have alot of business functions there so I am sure they have a shuttle to the airport. Most Marriots do.
Also there is a rental car place right near there.

I blocked rooms at the Uniondale Marriott for $129 a night.

Best Western, is nice and the rooms can be blocked for 100 ... a night

Thanks a lot!! Do you know of any hotels that are convenient to both airports and won't cost an arm and a leg to get to the reception. People have been getting on me about it and I am clueless!!! Thanks for all your suggestions. I will definately check into them.

I can't remember exactly, but I know there are a bunch of hotels near WCC. We just booked there Saturday and Michael, our banquet manager, listed about 6, so I'd say your best bet is to call the CC and ask them for a list, then go from there. He said they range in price from like $50 - $200 depending on what you're looking for.

The Inn at Fox Hollow is down the street on Jericho Turnpike. I don't think it's too far. It's in Woodbury. The rooms are a little more expensive but they are beautiful.

Woodbury only gave me about 3 near the club but i am not sure if those hotels would provide shuttle to and from the airport. I am trying to avoid my guests paying for two sets of trips. Ouch!!

tell your guest also think about Islip (MacAurther) as possible airport. I think it's the best airport in the world and connects many major cities.

Most of my guests are coming from atlanta and florida and I don't think the airlines they are using are flying into islip but i will defiantely check into that. Thank You!! Any other suggesstions???

yeah..not major airlines but some good ones like SouthWest (my fav) In FL, i believe they go to Tampa, Orlando and Ft Lauderdale ....

personally, i think it doesn't matter.. it's not a far trip. and either way, they still need to get to repection or back to airport. i would look at convience to major highway and prices and service
