Please recommend hotels in Athens, Mykonos & Santorini- since its our honyemoon we want to stay at the best hotels prefarably Luxury class. TIA

I love the Hilton in Athens...awesome pool and the food is very good

The best hotel in Athens (and most expensive I believe) is the Grand Bretagne. In Santorini (Oia), the Katikies is a luxury hotel.

On Santorini, I would say look into Perivolas in Oia. It is a family-run luxury class hotel built from traditional cave dwellings. It has an infinity pool and amazing view. We are looking forward to staying there when we go!

Hey - we'll be there at the same time!!! We leave Monday May 22 and go to Crete first. Then we go to Santorini and stay in Oia at Katikies, which is supposed to be beautiful. In Athens were at staying at St. George Lycabettus. Are you definitely going? We are booked! I can't wait.

Cyclades is the group of islands that Santorini is located in. I have heard that Oia is the place for hoeymooners to stay because it has the best sunsets on the island.

O wow, your wedding day is the day after ours

Yes we are definitley going, we had originally planned on booking a tour , but realized that the hotels that we would be staying at would be Category B hotels, and well we really want o splurge on our honeymoon. So we are looking ot either book it all ourselves or use a travel agent that can put a package together. May I ask how or with who you booked your trip with??

My wedding is on 5/21/06 within a day or two of sunrise and Marcusgirl!

PLUS! I am going to Greece and Santorini for our honeymoon too. We have opted to stay at the Santorini Princess.

What's the chance that we will bump into each other in Greece

Oia is a somewhat quieter part of Santorini although it's very popular in the late afternoon b/c of its sunsets. If you want to see the famous sunsets in Santorini, go to Oia. I loved Oia and highly recommend that area of Santorini.
