How far in advance can you block a hotel?

Will they let you block rooms 1 year in advance? I was hoping to send the information out with the STD's.

I think they will... I started looking into blocking rooms at just under a year... I didn't actually DO it until about 9 months before but that was not because they didn't let me, only because I wasn't ready.

I think one year out is fine.

they told us the earlier the better! we used the marriott in uniondale, & one year before is perfectly okay!

They will let you block at 1 year. We did ours 7 months. The sooner you know the better. Hotels get booked quickly and its another thing to check off on your list.

At the one year mark most places will. I tried earlier, but they wouldn't let me...

We blocked ours at the yera mark, maybe even alitle longer, no problem.

We blocked out rooms over a year in advance!
