I am in invitation hell..need advice on invitations with spelling error.
I am embarrassed to say that I tried to save money on my invitations and I went to a store (I'll leave the name out) where it is pretty much self service.Long story short...my invitations came in with my FMIL's last name spelled incorrectly even though it appeared correct for my FH.
They agreed it was their mistake and arranged to have them redone.
They are finally in and I am picking them up after work. My question is....do you think I should insist on a discount or partial refund? I don't want to cause a big commotion...but should I let them get away with that??
I was supposed to send them out this week..but now I will probably send them next week. What do you think???

I guess it never hurts to try but since they redid the job for you Im not sure how much luck you'll have. If it were me and they gave me an easy time about re doing them, then I wouldnt ask for a reduction especially if I only had to wait another week.

I agree that the spelling error was a mistake but they took care of it and reordered your invitations. You really can't expect them to refund you anything if they fixed the problem for you.

if youre getting the fixed invites for no charge, i dont see why you shoudl ask for a discount.there was a mistake and they took care of it- thats better customer service than ive heard of from others on the board

All they can do is say no, go ahead and ask - you were inconvenienced. I wouldn't bring it up until after you've inspected the new ones and they're in your hands.

I had a lot of problems with my invite- and considering it seems they have re done them in a timely manner- and did not cause too much stress- you should not ask for a discount- if they still screwed up and they need to re do them-- then I think you should ask for one.

Thanks ladies!! I think you're right...they did admit that it was their error and they were pretty good about fixing them.I'm not going to push them about a discount.
