I am so HURT and so ANGRY right now!

I just had a huge fight with my parents over the size of my bridal party. Yes it is large, but everyone, even all of the kids are important to FH and I and we wanted them in it. Yes, there are a few that we could have gone without asking in retrospect, but it is too late now. EVERYTHING is always NEGATIVE. Nothing about this wedding is ever discussed in a positive light, it's always treated like it is a HUGE inconvenience. Now my parents have never given me a hard time about contributing $$, but emotionally they have been to lunch! 'I can't belive you are doing this, I can't believe you are doing that. People are going to think this and say that.' I am so hurt and upset. As close as I am to my parents they have just not been able to get this whole wedding thing and they are really making it difficult on me and making me feel rotten about my decisions. I guess I am being 'selfish' . . . Is this not mine and FH day? Is it everybody else's? I am on the verge of tears and there is nothing I can do. I never expected that what is supposed to be one of the happiest days in my life to bring misery to so many people (including myself.)

I'm sorry. It is your day and you are going to have to just learn to let those comments slip by. As much as they hurt, you can't take them so seriously because then you stop enjoying this moment in your life. Remember to do what makes you happy regardless of anyone else's opinion!

Please don't let these little negative comments build up and hurt you! You just have to just let it go in one ear and out the other...I know that isn't all that easy but you have to try..
YOU ARE NOT BEING SELFISH AT ALL!
The number of people in your BP is up to YOU and Oscar...YES these silly details...it is up to the both of you and i think you should do WHATEVER makes you happy...

WHO CARES what other people are going to think or say...if they are that petty...then they are just that petty and their opinion shouldn't matter anyway!

BRI please don't let these things get to you...You are Oscar deserve the wedding of your dreams! DO IT YOUR WAY!

Dont feel bad. My dad is the same way. He keeps asking me why do i have to have a big wedding. And then i have to ask him to give me money. He doesnt even offer it to me. Sometimes i think he is so selfish. However, it is my day and I am not letting anyone tell me what to do about it. I am a grown woman and so are you. Parents are just old fashioned they just want u to get married and get it over with. Trust me i try not to pay attention to this but sometimes its like you are asking yourself, why dont they seem like they want the best for you.

HOld on tight girl this whole process is going to be a bumpy ride.

They are putting 6' needles in my lower back mixed with cortisone and steroids. Remind you they are doing this without any local or getting knocked out. Nothing! So guess how I feel?
