I need ideas...

OKay...I held off on asking my BMs because of drama that my SIL had had with her BMs, so I wanted to make sure that I chose wisely so there was no drama on my day. So now I think I am finally ready to ask my girls. Any ideas on how to ask??? I was thinking of possibly doing a scrapbook for each, or something with pictures since I am pretty good that that type of thing. Please help...I want it to be special.

many bakeries can make cookies that are shaped like dresses and paint them to say things like will you be my bridesmaid? stuff like that is cute - especially to bring them all out to brunch or dinner and have those waiting until the end

I made my bridesmaid cards on shutterfly with pictures of me and each one. Came out very cute and everyone loved it!

i like the scrapbook idea with pics of you and BMs through the years- pics of you with each of them at special times, events, etc and then the last one will be you asking will you be my BM

OH I really like that idea! I made cards for each girl... It really worked out for me b/c in the end- they will all be family. I already had drama in the beginning of our engagement with a 'friend' and decided that family will be there for always-

I made the card out of cardstock shaped like a dress in the colors that we chose and a ribbon for the sash. When you open the card it says:

'There's no other place I would rather you be, than standing there beside of me, as I become part of your family'.
Under that I put thier name and the words 'Will you be my Bridesmaid?'

Just so happens that 2 of my best friends are related to FH somehow and I've become so close to his cousins that my entire party is made up of his 'family'... just worked out

I already asked my girls, informally, but I think I am going to do something more official, like a luncheon or drinks.

I got them each a book about how to be a good bridesmaid (it's a half joke half serious book) which a lot of them said they liked because some of the joking ones were ridiculous and the serious ones helped them because none of them have any experience being a BM. And I got really nice cards and wrote them each a long mushy letter about how much I love all of them. I think if you make a scrapbook, it'll convey the same message and they'll cherish it for a long time.

I made scrapbooks and had th last pages spell out will you be my bridesmaid, maid of honor, matron of honor.... They loved it I even got tears from some of them

Awww...I hope that didn't upset you!! I just know how horrible some people were in your bridal party and I don't want you and the other girls to have any drama!!! Can't wait to have you as my BM!!!!
