I went Wedding Dress Shopping!!!!

So I went for my first appointment this past Saturday!!!! IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN!!! I tried on about 15 dresses, it took 2 hours!! I was exhausted! My flower girl was the best!!! She was so cute...she's 6. The very first time I walked out in a dress she announced 'Here Comes The Bride'. She was carrying the train, fixing the dress and the veil when I went to mirror.

I had my mother, Matron of Honor, my Flower Girl and my Bridesmaid. I had wine, soda and snacks before we went and then went to dinner afterwards. I'm glad I have a year and 1/2 till the wedding...I tried on all those dresses and know I must keep on shopping. The woman said their new Winter Line will be in this July!

I can't wait to go again

I went to Babylon Village Boutique - it's right around the corner from where I live. They were SO nice and helpful!! I'm just not sure if they had the right dress for me. Their prices were very reasonable. Ranged from about $700-$2000. Average dress was about $900.

I haven't officially started looking for dresses because I'm having mines made. But I did go to the boutique where the guy works to tell him about my engagement (I told him when I was 16 years old that he would be making my wedding dress). My family has a close relationship with him since he designed wedding gowns for other people that we know. I think designing my dress will be a piece of cake since he has known me for so long. So he basically shoo'ed me out of the store (playfully of course) and told me that he'll see me next year!

I am not getting married till Aug 2010. I did see two dressed I would like, but I think it is too early to start shopping. When would be the earliest I should start?

i want to go shopping so bad! but i'm afraid that its too early too. i know i will fall in love with a dress now but worried that something eles i like will come out in the two years that i like better. or if i wait i wont be able to get the one that i liked now.

Nice! I'm very close to Babylon Village (North Babylon) - is the store on Montauk Hwy?
