in the big girl crib!

Sophia is asleep for TEN MINUTES in her big girl crib!!! I know ten minutes doesn't sound like much, but for this colicky crab queen it's a miracle!!!!

Of course, the vacuum is running, but so what, right? Its' a start!

Re: in the big girl crib!

Keep the vacumn on. I read that babies hear loud vacumn like sounds in the womb.
10 minutes of peace....perfect!

Re: in the big girl crib!

Good girl for putting her in there! I'm resisting it, since she'll be a whole room away from me at night! I'm already without her for 8 hours during the day.

it's not easy leaving her in there! I like it better when I can see her in her swing, but I really want her to get used to it.

My mom gave me this big lecture about how she needs to get used to her crib since it's her 'safe zone' - she said she can exercise and move around in there, she'll find her feet in there, and bat at the mobile eventually - and she can't explore like that in the swing. She said eventually she'll wake up in there and recognize where she is and not freak out and start playing a little, and I can actually take a shower and not have to worry about her for 5 minutes.

Ah the wisdom of a mommy.....

Wow... your mom's advice really got me thinking. Nicolas almost always naps in his swing, but I think we may have to start napping in the crib.

Thanks Jenny's mom!

Re: in the big girl crib!

Gues you will have clean floor. Might as well use the vacuum while it is on. So, how long did she sleep?

25 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND she's been in there again now since 6:15 and we are going no 15 minutes! I am so excited!!!!

Of course, tried to put her in her swing before and she freaked out....it's always something. Trial and error, right ladies?

Re: in the big girl crib!

First, congrats on this big step!
I'm not a mommy but my brother and sis-in-law bought one of those nature sound machines and used the white noise setting when my first niece was little. It seemed to help her go to sleep much better and they loved it.
