Is there an 'Official Stewart Manor Country Club' Thread?

Hi!

I visited Stewart Manor Country Club this weekend and loved its cozy feeling, the fact there was only one event at a time, and the fact that they would let me start the cocktail hour in the early evening rather than forcing me to start as late as 7:00 or 7:30 at night. (I have some elderly guests who would have a problem with a late evening reception, but I don't want an afternoon reception)

I just wanted to know if there was anything negative that anyone knows or heard about the Stewart Manor Country Club.

Please tell me all the positives too!

Thanks.

My wedding reception was at Stewart Manor and I highly recommend them. James is an angel! We loved everything about this place. You can FM if you want more info, but I don't have a bad thing to say about them

Re: Is there an 'Official Stewart Manor Country Club' Thread?

They were my #1 choice, but FH liked the Swan Club much better, so that is where we went.

My brother had his wedding at Stewart Manor a few years ago and it was a great wedding. The food was good and plentiful. Two things I really like about it is that you have one wedding there at a time and the whole cocktail hour area is open the entire time. We used it to take the family photos while the wedding was going on and it was a good place to talk if you wanted to get away from the music for a little while.

Really? When did you go to a tasting there? FH and I are getting married at Stewart Manor this September. When we had our tasting, we felt the food was excellent and so did both of my parents.

Re: Is there an 'Official Stewart Manor Country Club' Thread?

I have to say....Stewart Manor was our first choice...the food was amazing, we loved the fact that it holds one wedding at a time, James is awesome....he accomodated our needs and even came in on his day off when we had scheduling issues....He's extremely professional...the whole place is great..my fiance liked the fact that we could decorate the cocktail room with our own photos and stuff to make it look personal....oh and alot of wedding industry people and people in general have personally told us that the food is great....so we've got more than our own opinion.....HIGHLY HIGHLY reccommended....

I went to see the SMCC and i thought it was so pretty and cozy. I am hearing mixed feeling about the food and am a little nervous to book it.

Re: Is there an 'Official Stewart Manor Country Club' Thread?

They unfortunately didn't have our date...but it was exactly what we were looking for (very cozy and homey) and James was such a great guy!!

I've never heard anything negative about the food...and I know three people who had a wedding there.

Re: Is there an 'Official Stewart Manor Country Club' Thread?

I am geting married there in Oct 2010 and it is exactly the kind of place I always imagined my weding would be. Since we're having over 200 people, the size of the cocktail hour room makes me a little nervous, but all in all it seems like its going to be really great! The room is SO beautiful, the food was good, and they are so willing to work with us with whatever we want! SO excited!
