Re: John - Ballroom Dance LI?
Hi,We used John for our first dance and he was great! In fact, we want to keep taking lessons. He's really, really patient. I think he's around $75 for an hour lesson, but he has lower prices if you buy a package of lessons.
We took 6 lessons and really knew our dance, as well as some swing moves that he also taught us. You can start now, but you'll spend a lot of $$ if you want to keep going until your wedding. I don't think you'll need that many lessons. Maybe start in the late spring. I think we started end of August for our November wedding.
HTH!

Re: John - Ballroom Dance LI?
We are currently using John and he is very nice and knows all the dances and taught us some other dances besides just the wedding dance. I think we have had 8 sessions or so. We have our dance down which is a waltz we are just tweeking the timing and practicing now. We didn't do anything that crazy because we are both not dancers at all. Our wedding is next month. It was $75 an hour for a private lesson but if you paid for four lessons it is 70 a lesson. He usually does the lessons at different dance studios. He will give you a half our introductory lesson for free.
