Kleinfelds Question

Kleinfelds Question

I wanted to go to Kleinfelds, but had a few questions...How are the prices...I do not want to spend a fortune on my gown...also will it take awhile to get an appointment?

When you go there, the first thing they ask you is your budget. I think they have gowns anywhere form $1000-$10,000

If you are looking to go on a weekend, it might take a while for an appointment, but you can always call, and maybe get in on someone elses cancellation. Check out when they are having certain trunk shows, because that might add to the wait. I was lucky enough to call on a wednesday to get an appointment for the Amsale trunk show that Saturday. my advice:

I got my dress there at a sample sale. I made an appt, got there very late, and they were so nice about it. They showed my right to the fitting room. I didn't have to wait or anything. They do take your credit card number and if you miss your appt, they charge you $50. Be open with your sales person, they are very helpful there. They'll help you find a dress that is the most flattering for your shape. I went in with one idea of what I wanted, and walked out with a completely different dress. Good luck.

I haven;t started gown shopping yet, but I will definitely go to Kleinfeld as probably my first and only stop. My sister got her dress there for her May '03 wedding.

Even if you don't specify a budget, they do seem to size you up and bring you what they think is in your price range.

If you're felxible and can go on a weekday, you shoudn't have to wait long for an appointment. I've been there twice on Fridays and made my appointments the week-of. I think you would probably get even better service and less waiting if you were able to do a week day. I found the salewoman very helpful and she showed me dresses within my budget. They charge a mandatory $400 for alterations, but you can go for as many fittings as you would like. The gown I bought was only $1200.
