Ladies, I am at my wits end.

I could really use your help, ideas, and expertise. Here goes:

I wanted to give a sweet treat with my placecard, so I had the idea to take small favors boxes (large enough to hold 2 chocolate truffles or so) and place a sticker on the top printed with each persons name and table number.

I have been looking all over the place at different boxes and labels- boxes are fine, not too hard to find. but labels

all of the 'nice' labels require personalization, but most places do the bulk kind. If I asked someone to print

on 100 labels I'd be paying $$$$$. I want to do it myself, but I can't find nice labels. Can someone please help me!

I presume you want a normal square label, correct?

This is a shot in the dark, but what about getting clear, colorless address labels from Staples? If the font is big enough, it won't look like an address label. You'll have to print them yourself, but it's fairly simple. I have no idea if that would even look good, but clear just might work.

Also, there is this store on 33rd Street btwn 5th and Broadway in NYC called Columbia, and they have great paper and card stock. You might want to try them. There's another place called A.I. Freidman (sp?) on W18th I believe. Both stores might have something for you.

Why dont you just buy sticker paper and print whatever you want on them. Then you can cut them out and waaaaallaaaaa

What about Lion in the Sun in huntington? I was going to check them out since they are near me for invitations - couldn't they do something?

Jess how about just making them on plain labels? This site has about 100 sheets for $16 or so. You can pick white or clear and pick the size you need...printable at home (so you can personalize each one)

i would check through people that do invites too....or like calig writing....i know a lot of the caligraphers do laser printing (and for pretty cheap) and maybe they would do it for little lables?? sorry i cant be of more help!

Why not just use pretty paper, and glue them? You can just print them yourself! Then you can personalize with pretty scrapbooking paper!

Yes, I'm serious. We'll go and pick out the backing layer and the cardstock together...let me know what you want to put on the labels themselves, and I'll do it.

It's honestly not that hard - seriously. YOu just need patience and a good printer....

Babe - you'll realize how simple it is, and how cheap it is to DIY (with my help obviously) - do not pay someone to do this....
