Low Rise jeans/pants....

I am taking this from the fashion don't thread...

I personally LOVE lowrise jeans! They have to fit just right so you don't look like you have flat a55 and your coolie doesn't hang out, but it's all I wear!! If I put on a pair of high waisted jeans I feel like my pants are around my chest...

I understand not all woman can wear these, but I vote YEAH for low rise pants!

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

Kim, I am also a very big fan of low-rise pants and jeans, they fit me much better then the regular waist pants and I just love them! I feel the same way when I wear regular waist: strange and uncomfortable and like the waist is way too high! I was so happy when low-riser jeans came back in style and everyone started making them!

but of course proper underwear is the key! Always low-rise thongs!

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

I always liked low rise but hate the super low rise where your undies are showing and you can't bend over without mooning people.

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

Exactly! As long as you wear the right undies and don't buy a size too small (so you don't have hip overlay..lol) they are so comfy!

I could kiss the designer of sevens and citizens of humanity!!

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

I'd like to personally THANKS the person who thought this idea up. I have a tiny waist and regular jeans/pants leave this huge gap in the back - and my otherwise descreet undies, are sayin' a big HELLO to the world. No thanks, I'll take low rise jeans & pants over regulars ANY DAY. (They work even better with low rise undies & thongs. )

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

I too vote for low rise...I'm not so skinny where my tummy is flat, but they flatter my figure well (when I'm not having a fat day) and my coolie doesn't show. FI loves the ones with stretch in them....I just got my new fave pair..Levi's 519, juniors size 9 (YES! I'll admit what size I am!!) and I also like American Eagle jeans but all mine are size 10 or 12 and too big now. The 519 are stretch low rise but not SUPERlow...that's a different style #

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

Steve Urkle! LOL Yes, exactly Kim!
I'm 5'8' - not really tall, not short...so buying pants in a long, are too long and regular is not long enough. My sister, whose legs start at her neck, swears by Express jeans. I'm loyal to Gap but I'm actually liking Old Navy's low riser's even better.

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

well I am 5'7, so you are taller than me. I think 5'7 is tall, these days everyone seems shorter than me, who knows....

Gap jeans actually aren't bad, but I need the slim fit cause they are always so baggy on my legs and I don't love the bottoms. I usually stick to Seven's or Citizen's of Humanity. They are a bit pricey, but I think they are worth it. Perfect fit and last through my wearing them to death!

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

I love em' too and I think the secret to the 'hip fat' thing is to definately buy a size that fits.
Personally, these jeans flatter my body like no jeans ever have in my life. I finally look like I have hips and an @ss
If they ever go 'out' of style, rest assured I'll be wearing mine forever.

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

I like jeans that fit below the natural waist. Because I have an Italian A55, Low Rise jeans make my A55 look bigger, not smaller! PLUS I find I have to wear a size LARGER in low rise to accommodate my rear!

Re: Low Rise jeans/pants....

I can't wear low rise The area right above my knee is too thick to fit into the thigh of the low rise jeans, thus they never make it to my hip (more like upper thigh where the thigh and hip meet) and they never zip. I am long waisted too, so I need something with a longer zipper. I have a pair of low rise stretch jeans and they work, but without the stretch, would have to go up two sizes. Ugh! I miss classic fit jeans from the mid-90's. Everthing fit, the waist was big, I wore a belt, tucked shirts in and looked as preppy as anything, but I felt good. Now I couldn't tuck a shirt into jeans if I needed too. Ugh!

Susans - I am with you. I love wearing these jeans. They definetely look the best on me. The other ones come up too high for me and I dont like them.
