WHO PICKS OUT THE BRIDESMAIDS AND MOH DRESSES??? DOES THE BRIDE HAVE ANY SAY AT ALL OVER THE STYLE???

I think you really have the say on what they wear. Though, personally, I basically told my girls to find what they liked and we would decide together. But, I only have 2 maids-of-honor, so, I don't know how well that works if you have a lot. I think it's nice though, to let them have some say. It ****s to have to pay a bunch of money for a dress you hate and that looks horrible on you.

You have the say - but it depends completely on you. I showed my girls a ton of pictures and we settled on the styles that we all liked (I told them the color). Then I went with my MOH and picked about 10 dresses. I finally got them today to agree on a date next month to go and pick one of the dresses we narrowed it to. If they can't decide then I will pick one but they seemed extremely happy with all of the choices I told them we narrowed it down to.

I have 7 girls all different shapes sizes and personalities I think I am basically choosing the dress.... To many people to consider

It was my say for my MOH and BMs dresses as well. HOWEVER, I took my MOH with me to go look... So we kind of decided together. Then I sent the pic to everyone and they all got measured. Much easier that way, for me anyway!

Well, I am having only one, but I did the same than two of my friends: I chose the color, and I let her chose the style. I think that different styles don't look bad but keeping the same color, I think that when you have too many BM with all different dody shapes and personalities, they might be happier by at least having a saying in the cut of their dress. IMO.

I think you can have as much of a say as your want. I have been in several different bridal parties and all brides handled it differently. From bride picking everything, from bride have stong opinion, MOH picked, girls decided together (hardest), and everyone picking their own.

No matter what you choose I think you should just be considerate of everyone's differet sizes and shapes and get a feel for what they are comfortable in before picking a dress. I went to a more extreme side and picked a color, fabric and mfg and told them pick for over 25 dresses that met that criteria. The girls all wore different dress..I liked it that way because I felt they would be comfortable in their choice.

It is YOUR wedding and YOUR decision. I mean you can let them have a say. I would take into consideration if everyone would feel comfortable in the dress you pick out.

I let them pick thier own dresses. MOH and BM are in same dress

I brought my sister...and we tried to keep everyone's body types in mind...(one BM didn't like it b/c it wasn't really altered to fit her that well)


my sister brought me and another BM...the 22 of us tried on dresses...narrowed them down to 2 and then my sister chose...


at another wedding the bride chose separates from David Bridal and the color and said the BMs could pick which ever they looked best in...

I like the separates. I have 1 MOH & 3-4 BM. MOH I want to wear Navy & BM a lighter blue.

Since they all range in shape, size and age, I have been thinking of just picking a skirt & letting them pick the top of their choice but wasn't sure how that would look or if it would look better with everyone in the same tops.

Of course you have say, it is your wedding. I will be like a dictator when picking out my BM dresses, of course I will make sure all the different body types look good in them, it is my wedding and the dresses are a reflection of my taste. I hope that we will all agree, but bottom line is I have the final say .
