Marriage certificate question

can you get a marraige certificate with a passport instead of a birthcertificate...

if, say, your FH crumpled up his birth certificate and threw it in with the junk mail 10 days before your wedding and now he is late for work because he can't find it

Re: Please help me not murder my FH

It depends on the town. In Suffolk county I *think* only the town hall in lindenhurst will do it. But you should call and check. I did not have my Birth certificate and we had to drive over an hour to get our marriage license!

Re: Marriage certificate question

Absolutely - DH couldn't find his birth certificate and instead used the passport. No problem!

But he should look into getting another copy just to have...makes it easier down the road.

Re: Marriage certificate question

I'm not sure but we went to the one in farmivillge and they only wanted the birthcertificate. You can get a copy of it with a raze seal from the town he was born. It is ten dollars. My fh had something that looked like it and it was not it so we had to get it from his town hall it goes by what hospital he was born at .
Hope that helps
