Maxed Out My Hotel Block? Need help!

Maxed Out My Hotel Block? Need help!

I blocked 20 rooms at Wyndham Wind Watch which have all been taken and now I need more rooms but they won't give me anymore at my group rate - what's up with that? Anyone else run into this kind of problem.
My rate is $129. Hotel rate is $169.
That just doesn't seem fair.

Have to been speaking to a manager? If not do so,..and if they won't give them to you, tell them you will have everyone book rooms somewhere else...they should be able to cancel their reservation without penalty. But I'm sure they won't have to, just say it.

they told me that I could increas my # of rooms when I had my block there.....I dealt with Joanne DaSilva

Same here... mine are constantly being checked by myself and Connie Verdin there, she is adding as they become booked.. speak with the manager, I think his name is John.

I know right around the block is the Long Island Marriott which is their direct competition. If they dont budge I would just mention to them that you spoke with the Marriott and they said they would be more than happy to accomodate you and your guests. That ought to change their tune!!! Good luck,a nd let us know how it works out for you. I plan to use that hotel to block off rooms.

I was actually just thinking about this. I am not using that hotel but i blocked 15 rooms at 1 hotel, now a closer, nicer one became avaialble, and they are sayign I can only block 10, so I don't know what to do.
I don't wnat to keep both & have 6 in one & 6 in another or soemthign like that, but what if I have more than 10. They said if its a few more they can make an exception, but it might be a lot more.
