North Ritz Club brides (or if you looked at NRC)..a question

I looked at NRC and we LOVED it, the price they quoted us was ok, but they wated us to guarantee 200 for a Saturday in December. Do you think we could negotiate with them on either the price or the minimum? Like, we really like the place, and we'd be willing to walk in with a $2000 cash deposit and then maybe thye'd be willing to negotiate, knowing we're serious?, but we only wanted 180 max people... Did anyone negotiate anything? Lik getting a viennese for cheaper, or something? They seemed willing to work with you...but 200 is just too many people... Tell me about your experience please!

I am not a north Ritz bride but I was able to negotiate with my hall from 175 to 150.

I was honest w/ them.. I said listen I have the money on me to book you on the spot, we love this hall and its off season.. if you are not willing to work with us then unfortunatly we have to look at our other options... RIGHT AWAY they offered us 150 min. in exchange for leaving a deposit that day.

we are getting married at the NRC, we dealt with Ida, she was great...we didn't have to negotiate anything she offered us extras, like a cheaper vienesse hour, and ice sclupture, etc....unfortuneately i don't know if they would budge on the minimum, we are having a big wedding. try to meet with Ida if you haven't already. it can never hurt to try. are you sure that you will only have 180?? we started at 250 and are now up to a 300 invite!!! if you have any questions at all about the place, feel free to ask, good luck!!

We also dealt with IDa. i liked her. She alyed out all of the options for us. Maybe we cna negotiate a cheaper price. Even if it's a 180 minimum....you know? otr even 190 would help us out SO much. She said she'd work with us on the pasta course, which i think meant it would be free, and she said she'd give us haf price on the viennese if we added the sushi, which we decided not to do in the end. I really loved her and NRC, but it is too expensive as is, but a few grand in cash is a powerful thing.

Talk to them! It won't hurt! We're getting married on a Sunday in June. At first, they wanted a minimum of 175, but then we talked to them and we ended up with a minimum of 125. If we have 175 they are going to give us mini viennese platters . they also gave us ice scutpture, intermezzo and cappachino...although i think maybe cappachino is part of the coffee that is served. We are working with Christina and she is very, very nice.

They are GREAT to deal with. They have been nothing but accomodating to us. They are amazing--everything you ask for they say "Not a problem" "That's fine" They are the best. Definitely talk to them about the minimum and the price. They worked with the price for us also!

When I looked, I think they offered us 175 for a Saturday night in June/July when we told them we would not be able to bring in 200. Most places seem willing to go down about 25 people.

They originally told us a 225 person minimum for a Sat. night. We got them down on the minimum, but ended up paying more per person because of it. They are only 1 wedding at a time, and I guess they figure they want to make a certain amount of $. I just wasn't comfortable with a high minimum so I'd rather the price a bit more with a lower minimum. They were very helpful and flexible. We also worked with Ida. Good Luck!

We got them down on our minimum. They originally had us at 250 for a friday but we asked them to go down to 220 and they were fine with that....however we added on the seafood station at the CH ($10 a person extra) and we were able to negotiate that down to $7 a person. So they will work with you...however things might be different because 200 on a saturday night is different then a friday to them.....hope this helps.

I saw Christina and she was great. Im hoping to book soon. Daytime is only 150 min. but Im sure if you tell them your situation they will work with you. They seem very accomodating. They told me they don't do vienesse during the day(tables)consumes to much time but they would be willing to talk to the owner and see if he would allow it if I seriously had to have it, also gave us other suggestions and through alot of things in for us!

Your minimum is not that far from the NRC quote, so I would definitely ask them to work with you.

when i went there they were very negotiable because of the time of year and friday night they said i could do a 125 minimum at 85$ pp. Nice.
My friend who was with me she was getting married in september for a friday night they did lower the min for her but they upped the price. so she was at a 125 min for 155$ pp. also on a friday night.

Wow what a difference a month makes
